In my capacity as the Visual Communication Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS), I had the privilege of contributing to remarkable projects while providing guidance to a talented team. In this position, I initiated the development of design guidelines and systems, crafted insightful infographics derived from data analysis, curated and edited impactful leadership videos, collaborated on user research efforts alongside developers to enhance web page designs, and spearheaded campaigns focused on fostering inclusion, diversity, and equity.
OVERVIEW
On a quarterly basis, I orchestrated comprehensive AWS organizational surveys to gather insights aimed at enhancing communication and information dissemination across the company. The infographic presented here encapsulates the data gathered from a survey encompassing over 200 internal employees. Subsequently, I collaborated with the internal Communications team to streamline and enhance this organizational improvement process across the entire company.
QUARTERLY INFOGRAPHIC
I collaborated closely with the Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity team to devise social and marketing campaigns that championed the principles of equitable treatment for individuals irrespective of their race, ethnicity, age, gender, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, economic status, or other diverse backgrounds.
INCLUSION, DIVERSITY, AND EQUITY
As individual project needs progressively took shape for the internal communications team, I constructed a comprehensive design system to maintain visual consistency across the product. Typeface selections and color palettes were meticulously aligned with the overarching Amazon brand guidelines, ensuring a unified and cohesive appearance across the entire organization. This design system empowered more than 200 organizations to independently address their design requirements while adhering to brand guidelines and utilizing the associated assets.
